Wilson Trailer Company
615 Water Street has been home to two of Siouxland's locally owned, successful businesses that still operate today.
Founded in 1883, Wilson Trailer Company occupied the building as a small wagon and carriage shop constructing transportation wagons for hauling material and livestock. Wilson Trailer Company is currently operating under the family's 4th generation of the Wilson name and has locations all throughout the midwest with headquarters residing in Sioux City, Iowa.
In 1950, Iver Tufty bought the old Wilson Trailer building and turned it into an automotive parts wholesaler called Motor Parts Central (MoPar). After occupying the building for 55 years, MoPaR relocated to 801 Lewis Blvd. in Sioux City, where it still operates today.
Located in the beautiful Historic Pearl Street District in Downtown Sioux City Iowa, this two story brick building offers over 11,000 sq feet of retail/warehouse or office space and is conveniently located two blocks from Interstate 29. Constructed of steel beams, this building still has a solid foundation with all the original brick still in tacked. With its tall ceilings and open floor plan, 615 Water Street is ideal for new or existing businesses around the area who are looking to relocate or open its doors in the Historic Pearl Street District of Downtown Sioux City.
